This presentation will highlight our journey for SAS Customer Intelligence 360 from a model where we produced one release per year which was deployed by the customer on-premise, to a model where we produce one release per month on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. It will share insights on:
- the challenges we faced with this transition
- the mindset shift that was needed
- the initial results and how we improved over time
- our current model for continuous delivery.
We are still on this journey. While we have made long strides to get to where we are and are now successfully putting out a release every month, we have our sights set on more aggressive goals and we are still evolving as an organization to get us there.
A little about myself: I am the program manager for the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 program. I have been involved with this program for 4 years, almost since its inception. Prior to this our CI products were developed and delivered for on-premise deployments. Those products still continue to be supported, however we have a strong focus now on our new SaaS solution.
